How We Teach

Mwihoko, Nairobi

Location: Computer lab @ The Kiserem Foundation, Mwihoko (Nairobi).
Lesson format: 08:00 - 13:00: Monday, Wednesday and Thursday/Friday (TBD).
Courses taught: Web Development or Robotics.
Start dates: April, August, December.
Aims: The intensive course aims to equip people with the skills needed to be employable by the end.
Equipment needed: No equipment is needed, laptops are provided for the lessons and are available in the computer lab for use outside of lessons. Having a personal laptop at home would be beneficial, but not vital.

Mwihoko, Nairobi

Location: Computer lab @ The Kiserem Foundation, Mwihoko (Nairobi).
Lesson format: 14:00 - 16:00 every Saturday.
Courses taught: Web Development or Scratch.
Start dates: The Saturday Coding Club runs all year round, and students can join at any time.
Equipment needed: No equipment is needed, laptops are provided for the lessons and are available in the computer lab for use outside of lessons.

Nairobi

Location: In the classroom, in participating schools in Nairobi.
Lesson format: One 1 hour lesson a week.
Courses taught: Web Development, Scratch or Robotics.
Aims: Our aim is to get coding on the school curriculem, equiping students with the skills to tackle the modern world.
Equipment needed: No equipment is needed, we bring the laptops to the classroom.
